Solution
SPM Intellinova evaluation units have been integrated into the circular turntables A28 and B58 in hall M13 Škoda Mladá Boleslav. Each turntable has 5 measuring points that define 3 quantities (surge pulses, acceleration envelope, filtered signal – surge pulses).
This diagnostics uses a special surge pulse method developed by SPM and also measures vibrations simultaneously thanks to the use of a special Duotech technology. The combination of surge pulse and vibration measurements can make slow machinery more likely to detect fault detection.
As long as this diagnostics is deployed on circular turntables. The diagnostics were able to detect damage to three bearings before the machinery failed. Thanks to the early detection of emerging failures, an unplanned shutdown of production was avoided.
The measurement and evaluation of the measured signals itself takes place using HW and SW from SPM on a dedicated device, where the diagnostician has the opportunity to perform a detailed analysis of the measured data. Due to the complexity and complexity of the knowledge for the evaluation of the measured quantities itself, a visualization was created in the FIOT system, which composes for a simple display of the measured quantities. Maintenance and managers from the production line have a quick overview of the real condition of the line.
This visualization imports data based on defined measurement tasks from a vibrodiagnostics evaluation unit with a specified measurement frequency and then displays information about this measurement in the Thingworx visualization. Based on exceeding the limit values set by the user, the FIOT system generates maintenance notifications.
Benefits and details
- Permanent condition monitoring and monitoring of the degradation of bearings and roller shutters on SKD turntables
- Timely planning of repairs outside the production plan
- Availability of technical status for multiple users in different systems
