Colleagues from Škoda FabLab visited Audi Györ mainly for the topic of camera inspections using AI

Based on previous cooperation from the Iris M – Motion Amplification Technology project, where both parties exchanged valuable experience with each other before the acquisition of the technology, colleagues from MAC DigiTeam presented their activities and focus on camera inspections. Given the current situation at Škoda Auto on the topic of camera inspections, it was very important to share this experience and information. Our colleagues from Audi have a team of 5 people called "Vision Team". This team focuses purely on the applications/integration of simple vision inspections using AI and solving various challenges in production departments. These camera inspections are based on commonly available low-cost solutions based on Raspberry Pi camera modules or nVidia Jetson. At the same time, this solution is accompanied by internally developed software using open-source libraries for Python. The great advantage of the whole activity is that our colleagues from Audi have found a way to work on the network and remotely access not only the device, but also collect and evaluate data remotely. In conclusion, our colleagues from MAC DigiTeam Audi have a team of experts focusing on camera inspections using AI elements, where each team member plays an important role in the team and conceptually participates in the development of unique solutions.
