Project's goal

Expand the proven patented shock pulse technology for diagnosing slow-running bearings within the EHM, PLS and SK2 hanging and skid conveyor on the M1 assembly. Display the measured values in FIOT after adjustment.

Results

The PSZ/5 department, together with the PF2/M department, ensured the possibility of deploying technology from SPM Instrument AB, thereby reducing the risk of downtime that would jeopardize the operation of car production.

Solution description

Vibrodiagnostics of jacks is one of the most challenging tasks in the field of machinery diagnostics. It includes specifics that need to be taken into account when choosing diagnostic techniques:

  • Low rotational speed.
  • Short running/measuring time.
  • Variable speed during measurement (run-in, steady run, coast-down).
  • Need to determine exact start and end of measurement location.
  • Different sources of monitored signals (rollers, drum bearings, gearbox and motor).

These requirements can be solved using HD techniques that operate selectively in several frequency bands.

Benefits and Details

  • Reducing the risk of downtime.
  • Streamlining repairs.
  • Expanding proven technology.
  • Optimizing inventory across operations.
