Solution
After the successful verification of the use of thermodiagnostics for detecting malfunctions on the carrier drives of the UBS, HRK lines in the Paint Shop in Kvasiny, we had an opportunity to apply thermodiagnostics on another production line - the EHM conveyor in the M1 Assembly Shop in Mladá Boleslav.
For this line, it was requested to use this special measuring method to detect malfunctions not only on drives, but also on carrier roller guides. The use of four thermal cameras to monitor the carrier drives and rollers gave us an opportunity to collect several tens of thousands of measurement values, and to apply the measurements to define the future parameters for the condition monitoring of this conveyor. After the final implementation, shop floor management will have a comprehensive overview of the condition of the critical parts of this equipment.
Benefits and Details (in points)
- The implementation and verification of an automated method of predictive maintenance.
- After the future final implementation, shop floor management will receive warning in advance of a pending malfunction.
- Directly expanding the know-how in thermodiagnostics applications in production areas.
