Project's goal

Increase measurement capacity through a universal online system for vibration measurement.

Effective use of time

Results

A portable case with online sensor monitoring technology has been created.

Description of solution

When a fault is detected or when machinery needs to be monitored more frequently, a technician had to perform several vibration measurements in a given period through legwork. As the technician had to measure vibrations, collect data and analyse the results directly at the machine during such legwork method, this solution was very time consuming. For this reason, we were faced with the task to devise a faster solution for measuring vibrations and so make the work of our technicians more efficient.

So we assembled a case called Vibrobox. The case is a mobile online system that can be easily installed and relocated. Now, if necessary, we can place the Vibrobox and install the sensors directly to the machine that needs to be measured. Thanks to this solution, the Vibrobox measures vibrations continuously from its connection until it is switched off and then picked up by a technician.

The Vibrobox can detect common damage to rotating parts, such as: imbalance, misalignment, play, mechanical damage, bearing damage, poor lubrication, gearbox damage, etc.

Benefits

  • Streamlining and optimising of processes
  • Mobility, speed and flexibility
  • Reduced measurements through legwork and the related costs
  • Continuous data collection and monitoring
  • Savings for area sensors
