Solution description
As part of the PoC (Proof of concept), the ŠA (FabLab) employees tested a solution with a positive result, where FLIR AX8 thermal cameras were deployed. These cameras have a relatively good processing response and have provided us with the ability to capture values directly as we drive through. The cameras have the ability to read the maximum, minimum and delta temperature in two definable zones in the image. These cameras are relatively robust and have an IP 67 rating.
In cooperation with the maintenance of paint shop B, we have taken the path of internal implementation. After agreeing on the installation site and ordering the necessary hardware, we installed the brackets, thermal cameras and other hardware. We connected power and Profinet to the cameras and ensured the connection. After connecting and commissioning the cameras, we set the necessary limits and implemented the output signal into the operation visualization.
The operation now has the ability to monitor the current temperature of the contacts on the visualization, and at the same time it is another predictive maintenance diagnostic system that complements the existing one. In this way, paint shop maintenance tries to prevent future problems.
