Description of solution
Maintenance of good condition of oils in machines is a key element for maintenance of efficient car production. In Škoda Auto in Mladá Boleslav, we have 1500 hydraulic devices in total, and they all need oil for their smooth running. Primarily, our team takes care of more than 500 of these machines. We regularly take samples from these machines, analyse them in our laboratory and try to keep them in the best quality. If the oil does not meet the prescribed standards, it can be maintained using several methods. One of them is for instance a properly implemented filtration of oils. However, in this project we have installed smart sensors for even greater usability of filtration, classic filtration and we have thus developed clever filtration, which is represented by a new device that enables filtration and measurement of lubricant parameters directly on the filtration device. Values of mechanical impurities, water, oil flow, pressures and temperature of lubricants are now available on-line in form of visualisation forming a simple ecosystem. This subsequently leads to effective use of filtration capacities, prolongation of oil lifetime and thus of machinery itself.
